Sunday 12th June marks the 24th birthday of my Future Husband.
At 24 years old, The Man is still an overgrown child and I can’t see that changing anytime soon… but that’s just part of why I love him.

Oh, how things change…
Its been two years since we first met, since the first time I wrote you a birthday card. I was drinking wine in my bathtub and wrote you a badly written card with an even more badly drawn picture of a monster can being beamed up by a UFO in it.
This year, you received a photo card with my favourite family photo on the front signed with both my name and that of our baby.
I came into your life like a whirlwind and turned it upside down. When we met, you lived at home with your Mum and sister. You’d never been in a long term relationship and certainly didn’t see that changing.
Now, here we are. Two years down the line and we’re getting married and raising a son together.
Today we celebrate your 24th birthday
We met for the first time 4 days before you turned 22. You’ve grown more in the past two years than you could have in your entire life. You’ve matured into a wonderful human being. You’ve learned life skills that you never thought you’d have. We’re living a life you never dreamed of having. A life that I never knew I wanted.
When we met, it was supposed to just be casual. I never thought that I wanted children or to get married. But in true cliché style, I just hadn’t met the right person. There is no other person that I would want to father my child, and stand at the end of the aisle for me to walk down.

Thank you!
Everyday I owe you thanks for coming into my life and making it what it is today, but I know that you’d never believe me if I told you too often.
So instead, I will just try to make sure that you have the most incredible birthday. That you are made to feel as special as I believe that you are. As special as you are to me, and as special as you are to our son.
